Did you know you could flirt with your feet? And why it is good to have ticklish feet? Some of these facts might surprise you.

Did You Know…?

1 – Toenails grow far more slowly than fingernails at a rate of about 1mm per month. To grow a completely new toenail would take between five and six months.

2 – Perhaps unsurprisingly, women have far more foot problems than men – almost four times as many. These are almost always related to the stress on the feet of wearing high heels too often.

3 – If you have ticklish feet, that’s a very positive thing. It means the thousands of nerves in your feet are firing on all cylinders and working as they should.

Foot Records And Sizes

4 – Your feet have an incredible 250,000 sweat glands producing up to half a pint of sweat each day. That’s why it’s so important to change your socks every day!

5 – In ancient times, shoes could be worn on either foot. It was the Romans who introduced shoes that were specifically for left and right feet.

6 – In the United States, the most popular shoe size for women is 8.5 and for men, it’s 10.5. Compared with best-selling shoe sizes from 30 years ago, these are up a full size.

7 – According to Guinness World Records, Louise Hollis from California holds the record for the longest toenails in the world. When they were measured at their longest in 1991, the combined length of her toenails was an incredible 87 inches!

Love, Flirt And Desire

8 – For foot fetishists, feet are an object of sexual desire. According to Buzzfeed.com, Quentin Tarantino and Tommy Lee are two famous people who have an attraction to feet.

9 – You can flirt with your feet but women are better at it than men! If a woman is interested in someone, she subconsciously stretches her feet out away from her body; if she feels no attraction, her feet will be tucked in or her legs will be crossed.

10 – Contrary to popular belief, it’s been proven that there’s no correlation between the size of a man’s feet and his penis. So, it’s more accurate to say ‘big feet, big shoes’.
